Nature’s Music

I hear them float through my window,
Such a mellifluous sound;
Of innocence and tenderness,
A parental bond they’ve found.

Too soon the voices have gone,
As silence creeps through the air;
The birds gently sing me a song,
Assure me they’ll always be there.

You see, if you ever feel lonely,
A small simple thing you must do;
Open each one of your senses,
To the beauty surrounding you.

    If only everyone thought like this, the world would be a much happier place!! I find myself nodding and appreciating every poem you write, because there is a genuine and heartfelt meaning behind all that you pen. We often get down on ourselves or of the life we had, but if we opened our eyes to what God has created for us, we would be feeling in a better frame of mind, for sure! Fabulous piece!! You are like a fine wine…getting better with age!!!!
    Take care, Chris.
